Bishop-designate Gerald B. Wyatt, Senior Pastor
Gerald Wyatt accepted Christ at the age of eight. Being a “church baby”, he recognized God’s call on his life. After resisting the voice of God for several years, he formally accepted the call to the ministry and was ordained in 1995.
In the Fall of 2004, the Lord began to deal heavily with Elder Wyatt regarding the Pastorate. Although it was not his personal ambition, the pressing of the Holy Spirit brought him to a place of complete surrender.
Elder Wyatt officially received the call in November of 2004 and announced his yielding to the believers that had been gathering at his home for weekly Bible study. Overseer Wyatt serves faithfully as a teacher of the Word and prophet to the nations. It is his desire to see the Body of Christ (locally and at large) functioning to its fullest potential and call. He lives to build the Kingdom of God through practical teaching and application principles. His heart is for God’s people and providing them spiritual tools to have a successful walk with God. Overseer Wyatt's Kingdom Professional assignment is that he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the THINC College & Career Academy which is a charter program of the Troup County School System.
Overseer Wyatt serves as the founding pastor of the Body of Christ Worship Center in Columbus, GA. Overseer and Pastor Wendi are excited to be a part of the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Michael A. Blue where Overseer serves as the Bishop of Administration. They have been married for over three decades (December 8, 1990) and have two beautiful and beautifully anointed children (Racquel and Christopher). The Wyatts have served as pastors for nearly 20 years and are tremendously amazed at God’s hand in their lives.
When all is said and done, Overseer Wyatt lives to hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”.
Wendi Henderson Wyatt, Pastor
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Pastor Wendi Henderson Wyatt was groomed from early childhood for service in the Kingdom of God; and has emerged as one of the most powerful voices in the Church today.
For over thirty years, she has traveled the country and beyond, ministering in song and in the Word, using every gift of God at her disposal to inspire, encourage and provoke all under the sound of her voice to seek God, love Him, worship and serve Him. She is a singer, songwriter, musician, teacher, recording artist, Pastor, author and conference host.
A part of her passion is seen and experienced as she hosts regional gatherings for those who serve in Music ministry on any level, called “The Sound of Unity”: a 3-day gathering where she pours out of her heart, sharing the heart of God for worship leaders and ministers of music, helping them to harness the gift and grace of God in their lives and be most effective in the areas where they serve. Her book, “Giving Birth to Glory,”released in 2012, has been a tremendous blessing, inspiring readers throughout the Body of Christ to embrace a life of prayer and intimacy with the Lord, until Glory flows through their lives.
While she has been writing music for many years, and recording since 1999, it is her single, “No Reason to Fear,” released in 2016 that has had the most profound impact in the Gospel Music Industry. Having taken on a life of its own, with many versions, to include one by internationally known Gospel recording artist, JJ Hairston, churches all over the nation are shouting, “I have no reason to fear! The Lord is my light!” It was for this song that she received the 2020 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Award for one of the most played songs of the year. Her latest release the EP “My Heart is Toward You” was released in February of 2022 and debuted in the top 5 of the iTunes charts.
Among the many honors she has received throughout her career and ministry, Pastor Wendi was very humbled when, after having observed her ministry for several years, she was honored and received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Cathedral Bible College, Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 2013. So, although she rarely mentions it, she will occasionally answer to “Dr. Wyatt.”
However, you are most likely to hear Pastor Wendi refer to herself as a “rich woman” when speaking of her roles as the wife of her husband, Overseer Gerald Wyatt (of 32 years), mother of their children, Racquel and Christopher, and serving along with her husband as Co-Pastor of Body of Christ Worship Center, Columbus, Ga, which they founded in 2004. There she serves the ministry, partnering with her husband in teaching, preaching and instruction in the Word, while overseeing the Music & Arts and Women’s Ministries, hosting an annual Women’s Retreat that has continued to grow in attendance since the first gathering in 2008, with women
gathering from various parts of the country, finding times of refreshing during life-changing encounters in the presence of the Lord.
In between time, a classically trained vocalist and musician, and lover of music, she still manages to take on private piano and voice students, which she has done over the last 25 years; while also conducting online vocal Master Classes periodically, which she launched in the year 2020.
Ultimately, Pastor Wendi believes that there is a place for which all of mankind longs; that place being the presence of God. Filled with passion and love for Jesus Christ and love for people, it is her heart to see people everywhere find their place in His presence, where they can, as she did, have an encounter with HIM that will change their lives forever… for the better!
Indeed, for the BEST!
